Who are they?
Simon Webster Hair was founded by a husband-and-wife team who wanted to create a more inclusive space for hairdressers and clients alike.
The diverse team of stylists work both in-salon as well as within the music and fashion industries. And examples of their award-winning creative work, from magazine covers to avant-garde promotional shoots adorn all of the salon walls.
Simon Webster Hair’s ethos is all about creative expression, celebrating the individual and building stronger communities. They’ve won industry acclaim for pioneering gender-free pricing and inclusion of all hair types, as well as supporting local charities with complimentary services for their users.
And they’re at the forefront of bringing more sustainable practises into hairdressing. The salon recycles 100% of the hair waste produced, they use smart-tech to reduce product and energy consumption stock use organic, vegan products in-salon.
The Space
Simon Webster Hair salon has a wide entrance, accessible for wheelchair users. Although the backwash facilities are on the first floor, the salon team are happy to adapt their services to accommodate the individual needs of all clients.
And a private room provides a safe space for clients who prefer some extra privacy or quiet. It’s a beautiful, calm studio tucked away from the bustling salon environment, but with all the design, styling and colouring facilities of the main salon floor.
The salon itself has a laidback elegance, with period features contrasted with more industrial finishes. There are nine styling chairs spread across three floors, giving the salon a light and spacious atmosphere.
Services
All SWH services have an optional ‘Silent Service’ add-on, so a client can give a heads-up that they’d like conversation to be minimal. It can be requested when booking online, over the phone or in-person. It’s a great option if you’re feeling anxious about small-talk or simply value some quiet time for yourself. The stylist will follow your lead, so you can just relax and enjoy the service.
As well as the typical 30-, 45- or 60-minute cuts, an extended 90-minute cutting service is available for those who like or need to spend more time with their stylist. Colour services can also be extended to provide more consultation or service time if requested.
